Tannourine Cedars Forest: Hiking Trails and Map

The Tannourine Cedars Forest Nature Reserve Trail Map covers nearly all of the existing forest. At the forest entrance, visitors can get all the assistance they require, in addition to brochures. From there, four options are available:

  • Trail #1 heads towards Wadi Al-Fouar. Visitors will see cedar, maple, oak, and juniper trees, as well as nests of birds in the rocks and many flowers during the flowering periods (March to October). Upon reaching the end of this trail, there is an information sign about Wadi Al-Fouar. From there, four options exist:

    • A car can pick you up at Wadi Al-Fouar.

    • You can hike back to the starting point.

    • Continue hiking along Trail #5. Visitors can use this trail to reach the Hadath Ej-Jebbé main road. You will pass through the Arz Al-Kersi area, which is full of cedar trees, in addition to maple, oak, and juniper trees, and view the old rock formations and abundance of beautiful flowers during the flowering periods (March to October).

    • Continue hiking along Trail #6. From Wadi Al-Fouar, visitors will reach Al-Batrak Cedars and Room (an old room for monks). Here, you can see the reserve's oldest cedar trees, alongside newly naturally regenerated ones, in addition to a mixed forest of maple, oak, and juniper trees. This area is also full of  mammalian activity.
